Conference: Judaism and Christian Origins, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor David Flusser

Date & Time: December 6th-7th, 2017, at 16:00
Location: at the Academy, 43 Jabotinsky street, Jerusalem
Twelve scholars, both junior and senior, both from Israel and from abroad, participated in this Conference dedicated to the core scholarly issues to which David Flusser devoted so many seminal papers, during decades. The Conference was held in English and Hebrew, in order to showcase the fact that the study of Early Christianity, and its Jewish matrix had now become fully accommodated in Israel, as well as the international impact of Flusser’s groundbreaking research on Second Temple Judaism, and in particular on the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Conference was very well attended during the two days of lectures and discussions.
