New York Academy of Sciences
In January 2017, an agreement was signed with the New York Academy of
Sciences in New York, under the auspices of the Blavatnik Family Foundation, to
establish a unique grant award program for early-career researchers in Israel.
The Blavatnik Awards for Young
Scientists honor exceptional young scientists and engineers in three
disciplines–life sciences, physical sciences & engineering, and chemistry–by
highlighting their extraordinary achievements and exceptional promise for
future discoveries. The prizes, to the sum of US$100,000, each, are awarded
annually to one outstanding scientist, aged 42 years or younger, in each of the
disciplines.
In 2020, the Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists were awarded to three laureates.
