Israel Academy President Prof. Nili Cohen is currently participating in the annual Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum meeting, taking place in Kyoto, Japan. The meeting is aimed at providing a framework for open discussions regarding the social challenges stemming from the progress of science and technology, with the participation of presidents of science academies from around the world. The forum gathers experts from different fields: scientists, business executives, policymakers and the media.
During the meeting, Prof. Cohen participated in discussions regarding the regulation of genome editing and social changes in the era of information and technology.
