הרשמה לאירוע: יום שלישי, יב´ בטבת תשס´´ג

הרצאתו התקיימה במסגרת הכינוס ב- 17 בדצמבר 2003.

הכינוסים על-שם ג´´יימס פרנק מאורגנים במשותף על-ידי ישראל וגרמניה. בשנת 1989 פנו פרופ´´ יהושע יורטנר ופרופ´´ רפי לוין מהאקדמיה הישראלית ביחד עם פרופ´´ א.ו. שלאג מגרמניה אל קרן מינרבה בבקשה לייסד תכנית דו-לאומית חדשה בנושא:
Laser Matter Interaction´´- התכנית נקראה לזכרו של פרופ´´ ג´´יימס פראנק, פיזיקאי יהודי-גרמני, חתן פרס נובל בפיזיקה (1925).
