An Agreement for Scientific Cooperation was signed with the Romanian Academy of Sciences in 1991, and renewed in 2019, including bilateral workshops and visits of senior scientists.

Since then, many Romanian researchers have visited Israel under the framework of the agreement from the fields of electrical engineering, history, philology, chemistry, energy, bibliography, and geography.
