Vice President of the Academy participates in the “International Scientific Leaders Forum” | Taiwan

The Vice President of the Academy, Prof. David Harel, participated in mid-November in the “International Scientific Leaders Forum” in Taipei, held on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the National Academy of Science of Taiwan, the Academia Sinica.
 
Eighteen presidents and vice presidents of academies of science worldwide participated in the conference, among them delegates from the United States, Australia, India, France, Britain and Japan. The delegates presented their academies and the challenges the institutions they represent are facing.
 
The President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Dr. Ing-Wen Tsai, delivered a congratulatory speech during the second part of the conference. Dr. Ing-Wen Tsai, who holds a PhD in law, is the first woman to hold the office of the president. She later held a meeting with the delegates in her chambers.
