On April 1, 2022, The Academy President Prof. David Harel visited the British Royal Society and met with its Executive Director, Dr. Julie Maxton, CBE, and its Foreign Secretary, Prof. Sir Robin Grimes. They discussed the ongoing cooperation between the two institutions and strengthening the scientific ties between Israel and Britain. Since 2015, the Royal Society and the Israel Academy have conducted a binational program of joint activities for the benefit of the scientific communities in both countries.

 

The next morning, Prof. Harel met with the past President of the Royal Society, Nobel laureate Prof. Venki Ramakrishnan. They discussed a range of scientific topics of common interest to both countries.
