Annual Lectures

The Annual Buber Memorial Lectures

In 2009, its Jubilee year, the Council of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities voted to establish a series of distinguished lectures to be named for the Academy’s first president, Martin Buber.
The Martin Buber Memorial Lecture is delivered each year by a distinguished scholar in the humanities or the social sciences. In view of Buber’s wide-ranging interests and his activities on behalf of society and for the benefit of humankind, the Buber Memorial Lectures are meant to appeal to a broad audience of scientists, scholars and knowledgeable laypersons.
