Prof. Marek Karliner Participated in CERN's 70th Anniversary Celebrations

Prof. Marek Karliner, Chair of the National Committee for High Energy Physics, participated in the impressive event marking 70 years since the establishment of CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) held on October 1, 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland.
The event was attended by 38 national delegations, including heads of state and government from Bulgaria, Italy, Latvia, Serbia, Slovakia, and Switzerland. The ceremony marked seven decades of groundbreaking scientific discoveries and significant technological achievements, summarizing a full year of 70th anniversary celebrations held worldwide.
The Academy serves as the representative body for Israel at CERN, and the National Committee for High Energy Physics, whose members are appointed by the President of the Academy and the Minister of Science, leads Israel's experimental scientific activities in the organization.
