Rishu Kumar Singh
is a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Dr. Stanislav Burov in the Department
of Physics at Bar-Ilan University. He received his PhD in 2018 from the
Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, under the supervision of Prof. Dr.
Sitabhra Sinha. His dissertation dealt with “Nonequilibrium Dynamics in Complex
Networks.’’ He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Physics, IIT
Bombay, from Jan 2018 to Dec 2019, and in 2020 he held a one-year position as a
visiting scientist in the Department of Physics, Banaras Hindu University. Since
February, 2021, he has been a postdoctoral fellow at Bar-Ilan University.
Dr. Singh’s
principal research interest is in random walks, and he has also worked on
anomalous diffusion, stochastic resetting, etc. His present postdoctoral work
addresses the emergence of non-Gaussian features in diffusive dynamics,
focussing on the tail behavior of the displacement distribution.
